DEYAM honors the memory of P. Themelis
On the occasion of the completion of one year since the loss of Professor Petros Themelis, “a very great personality for our place, culture and Greece”, the DEWA of Messini wishes to honor his memory, as well as the value of his work, for to be passed on to the next generations, in a way that he himself would have happily approved!
In 2022, therefore, DEYAM, in collaboration with the illustrator Fotis Fotiou, but also with the approval of the professor himself, created a children’s fairy tale, which he had prefaced and participated in its presentation, entitled “Roulis the water boat and the walk to Ancient Messina”.
In this fairy tale, the professor also played a leading role as a character and through the heroes of the fairy tale, he made known the history of Ancient Messina, the importance of its archaeological site, but also its museum. The fairy tale in question was distributed in printed form in the schools of Messina.
Now it is visualized, in the form of animations and with the selfless contribution of the Theater Workshop of Messina regarding the voices of the characters:
